How to justify being sad?

I think that such a huge change in your life is very difficult and you're getting rid of the stress in a healthy way (crying). It's hard to leave everything behind and it's hard to cope with a new town that's a dump. Quite obviously, your parents don't understand or they're trying the wrong ways to get your spirits up. You do realize you can move back to that town when you graduate, right? It's not for forever.
