Is my blackberry broken?

I just bought my new blackberry curve 9300 3g 2 days ago and just a couple of hours ago my 9 year old cousin was using it and he had a tantrum. He pressed his thumbs as hard as he could into the stylus (The middle button that controls the phone). He pushed it down so hard. I am worried now that something has happened. I think the button has been pushed down flat but maybe that could just be my imagination. Can the button be pushed down flat or is the phone strong enough to hold it out? I am very worried about the situation.
