No, your parents are wrong to say those things to you. Just b/c they are okay with leaving doesn't mean you should be. But it also doesn't mean you shouldn't leave. There may be a lot of things in the other city you enjoy. You may find things you like about the new city. Anyway the choice is not yours apparently. If you really like the town you live in now then move back there when you finish college or go to a college closer to that town.
