Emergency contraception?

I took the emergency contraception pills Next Choice on Sunday because I had unprotected sex Saturday night. I know that the sooner you take the pills the better. I was exhausted that day and didn't take the second tablet 12 hours after the first like i was supposed to. I took the second one like 16 hours later. Does that mean I screwed up my chances of the pills working?
