Hospitilisation? what can they hospitilise you for?

I saw my care co-ordinator today and she was right on the verge of calling an emergency dr. cause she thought i was having a mixed episode, instead i convinced that i would be fine over ngiht and have to go back and see my regular dr tomorrow at 9 - Im really worried that they are going to admit me to hospital . . . Is this likely with mixed episodes or will he just put me on a mood stabaliser and let me be? :S (Diagnosed shcisoaffective)
